With their matching red ribbons, they were a perfect match. My cousin sat on the floor and cuddled with our lovely dog Rudy. He was so happy that he sat there taking in the full attention and love she was giving. Both of them, were enjoying the moment and it was as though they were left in each other’s arms. Although is was just for a moment, their warm aura filled the room.
Witnessing this tender and loving scene, I couldn’t resist the urge to freeze the moment.
A Photo a Week Challenge: Red
Even though I’ve heard about the Intentional Camera Movement, I haven’t tried it until today. So I grabbed my camera and ventured out to get creative.
I took my time in experimenting with different subjects, and this purple feather was one of them. I have to say, I thoroughly enjoyed this process.
The last leaves are still hanging on the branches of various deciduous trees.
Though not for long, because of their destination. They have a duty to fulfill!
The spectacular display of the colorful foliage and the shedding leaves on the earth add an interesting artistic element in the landscape.
The season is changing. Autumn is finally here and oh, do I love autumn walks!
Quite recently, on our trip to Kakopetria village, I spotted this creeper on a house wall.
I have to say that, as much as I love shooting plants and flowers, I don’t know much about them besides the common ones. I thought it would be hard to find information about this creeper because I only had a picture and no clue what is called. So I searched for it as a red creeper in the web and I found it quickly.
Parthenocissus quinquefolia, known as Virginia creeper, Victoria creeper, five-leaved ivy, or five-finger. It is a prolific deciduous climber. It is grown as an ornamental plant, because of its ability to rapidly cover walls and buildings, and its deep red to burgundy fall (autumn) foliage.
An important information is that its berries are highly toxic to humans. On the other hand they are not toxic to birds, which provide an important winter food source for many bird species.

Autumn is here!
The turning of the season is always a great opportunity to capture the change of the surroundings.
Autumn marks the transition from summer to winter. One of its main features is the shedding of leaves from deciduous trees and plants. The leaves are changing colors and become yellow, orange, red and brown.
Red, yellow, orange and brown leaves are blending all together and create a colorful veil, which is embracing the earth and transforms the surroundings into a spectacular view.
Another hobby of mine is crafting. And this project is one of my favourites. I decorated my living room with these yarn wrapped bottles of ‘LOVE’. We had learned this technique at elementary school in art&craft. It’s probably a kid’s craft so if you have children, this is a another way to spend some creative and quality time with them and have a good time yourself. Plus, It is very easy.
Materials you will need:
glass bottles or jam jarsApply the adhesive with the paint brush on the bottle. Start wrapping firmly the thread/yarn around it, until the bottle is completely wrapped. At the end you can decorate your bottle with flowers, letters, butterflies and other things you like.
